Chhoti Kalisindh Irrigation Project Details
LCC Projects Limited has come up as the L-1 bidder for the Chhoti Kalisindh Medium Irrigation Project, Tehsil Gangdhar, Jhalawar District, Rajasthan. The project entails construction works related to Chhoti Kalisindh and Chahurni Rivers and carries a total contract value of Rs. 653.34 crore, inclusive of GST.
The execution of the project shall be done on the EPC Turnkey mode and entails the development of pressurized sprinkler irrigation system along with solar power system. The inclusion of solar power in the irrigation system would cater to the power requirements of the irrigation system while sprinkling water through sprinklers. The award of the project has been done by the Chief Engineer, Water Resources Zone, Kota and has a total execution period of 36 months.
Order Book Context
The new project can be seen as important relative to the existing order book of LCC Projects. The existing order book of the firm stood at around Rs. 7,953.18 crore as on March 31, 2026, which included 103 projects spread out over 12 states. If the L-1 bid turns into an awarded contract, then the Rs. 653.34 crore project would constitute about 8.2% of the March 2026 order book.
Thus, the new project has been added to the existing execution pipeline of the firm, especially since water and irrigation projects form the core area of their business. However, at this point of time, the firm is only at the L-1 stage.
Investor Perspective
The emergence as L-1 bidder for the Rs. 653.34 crore Chhoti Kalisindh irrigation project provides another potential addition to LCC Projects’ project pipeline. The 36-month execution period would spread the work across multiple financial years, subject to the final contract award and commencement of execution.
For investors, the key factors to track will be the conversion of the L-1 position into a final award, commencement of the project, execution pace, working-capital requirements and margins. Since the project is structured as a turnkey EPC contract, timely execution and cost control will be important for determining its eventual contribution to the company’s financial performance.
