The company has notified the stock exchanges regarding the record date of September 24, 2026.

As per the corporate action approved, one fully paid-up equity share of Rs. 5 will be sub-divided into five fully paid-up equity shares of Rs. 1 each. These shares will be of the same rank as that of the other equity shares.

Bansal Wire Industries Stock Split Details

Bansal Wire Industries Limited has announced a stock split in the ratio of 1:5. As a result, each outstanding equity share having a face value of Rs. 5 per share would be divided into five fully paid-up equity shares having a face value of Rs. 1 each. All the new shares will carry the same rights as the present equity shares.

The proposal for share sub-division was initially approved by the company’s Board of Directors in its meeting held on August 12, 2026. The proposal for the same was later ratified by the shareholders of the company in their 41st Annual General Meeting held on September 17, 2026.

Post ratification of the proposal by the shareholders, Bansal Wire Industries has appointed October 16, 2026, as the record date for deciding the eligibility of the shareholders for the stock split. Therefore, those shareholders who hold the shares of the company as of the record date shall get the subdivided shares.

What Does the 1:5 Split Mean

Under the stock split, holders of 1 share of Bansal Wire Industries which has a face value of Rs. 5 will get 5 shares which have a face value of Rs. 1 each provided that the holder of the stock meets the eligibility criteria on the record date.

For instance, an investor with 100 shares prior to the split will have 500 shares after the split while the total value of the investment will remain constant despite the occurrence of the stock split since the value of the stock depends on the market price. The effect of the stock split is to decrease the face value of the stock and hence the per share market price will adjust.

Investor Perspective

Setting the record date of October 16, 2026, is the next phase of the share sub-division in a ratio of 1:5 by Bansal Wire Industries. Those investors who have shares in their possession that are eligible on the record date will be allotted five shares of Rs. 1 face value for every one Rs. 5 face value share they hold.

It is important to mention here that although a stock split does not necessarily mean more value creation for the shareholder, but what happens is that there is an increase in the number of shares along with a reduction in face value and market price per share depending upon the market trends.
