WhatsApp is reportedly testing a chat customisation feature that could let participants use the same theme across a conversation. The proposed option may synchronise wallpapers and chat bubble colours, including custom backgrounds selected from a user’s photo library. Users could retain control over their own appearance or choose to share the selected customisation with others. The feature may also support group conversations, where participants could see a shared theme. It was spotted on an iOS beta build and remains under development.
