REC Limited was awarded the first prize in the meeting of the Hindi Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Power, Government of India on the basis of excellent implementation of the Official Language Policy for the year 2025-26.
The award was presented to REC by Manohar Lal Ji, Honorable Union Minister of Power and Housing & Urban Affairs. Also present on the occasion were Shripad Yesso Naik, Minister of State for Power and New & Renewable Energy ; Dinesh Sharma, former Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and current Rajya Sabha MP; Suresh Kumar Kashyap, Lok Sabha MP; and Pankaj Agrawal, Secretary, Ministry of Power. The award was received by Jitendra Shrivastava, IAS, CMD, REC.
It is a matter of special pride that REC has earned this honour among all the Central Public Sector Enterprises, subordinate offices and organizations affiliated to the Ministry in the power sector.
This achievement is a result of REC’s continued commitment to the promotion, propagation, and effective implementation of the official language, Hindi, and the collective efforts of all the organization’s officers and employees. This honor recognizes REC’s remarkable work in the areas of effective compliance with various provisions of the Official Language Policy, promotion of a work culture in Hindi, and successful implementation of new initiatives at the national level.
