Ankita Konwar has made history by successfully swimming across the English Channel, becoming the first Assamese woman from Northeast India to conquer this challenging feat. As part of an international relay team, they completed the swim in thirteen hours. This achievement significantly highlights the growing prominence of endurance sports in Northeast India, with Konwar proudly representing Assam and India while carrying the national flag.
